Rifle-branded steel shafts combine four advanced technologies to deliver steel shaft performance unmatched in the golf industry. Only Rifle steel shafts offer: Frequency Matching that perfectly matches a set of clubs through electronic calibration; Stepless Design Technology that eliminates the energy-robbing ‘steps’ found on most other steel shafts, and provides greater accuracy and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact; Patented Internal ‘Rifling’ that transfers energy more efficiently than other steel shafts, reduces vibration and increases distance; and advanced Flighted Technology that features produces variable ball trajectories for different clubs within a single set.

For more than 80 years, many of golf’s greatest players have turned to RIFLE for high-performance steel and graphite shafts. RIFLE products have won every major U.S. championship, every major on the Senior and LPGA Tours, multiple Vardon Trophies, Player of the Year titles on every tour, and nine of the last 10 Orders of Merit.

Why should I be playing Rifle® shafts in my clubs?

Every Rifle steel shaft is manufactured with patented, proprietary technology that makes it out perform all other shafts on the market. Internal and external design features transfer energy to the club head more efficiently for these performance improvements: Greater distance, Tighter shot dispersion, Better control, and a Solid feel at impact with less shock. Additionally, Rifle shafts are Frequency Matched to ensure identical shaft flex from club-to-club throughout the set for consistent results swing-to-swing.

RIFLE Shafts Available at the Arizona Golf Company

Rifle Project X™ Demo this shaft in a Nakashima Club at the Arizona Golf Company

Rifle Project XA proven winner on the PGA Tour, this complex RIFLE features a different constant taper per inch for each shaft in the set. Longer taper rate results in more energy transfer to the ball. The ball gets up faster and flattens out for a penetrating trajectory.

Rifle Project X™ Flighted

In addition to the playing characteristics that have made the Project X shaft a tour favorite, the all-new Project X Flighted features an exaggerated change in kick point within each shaft throughout the set to optimize ball flight through the bag. Long irons provide a lower kick point for higher ball flight, easier launch and greater distance, while the short irons have a higher kick point for a lower trajectory, greater accuracy and control.

Rifle Project X™ High Launch

The Project X High Launch iron shaft gives mid- to high handicap golfers the same high performance Rifle technology that Tour players appreciate with the Project X. Features lighter weights and longer tip parallel sections, delivers a higher launch angle and increases ball velocity and spin rate.

Rifle Woods, Irons, Wedges and Putters

Rifle Flighted IronsIt is no coincidence that top-ranked TOUR players worldwide play Rifle shafts. A key element in our research and development process is proving shaft design with the best players in the world. And the list of Rifle benefits is extensive: tighter shot dispersion; better control; greater distance with improved accuracy; a smooth, yet solid feel at impact.

It's What's Inside That Counts

The amazing benefits of Rifle are possible through a patented internal and external Rifle design that transfers energy more efficiently than any other shaft on the market. It's this energy transfer that gives Rifle its solid feel at impact with less shock and vibration.

A revolutionary concept developed through exclusive Flex Distribution Technology™ and perfected on the PGA and European Tours. Rifle Flighted iron shafts provide an exaggerated change in kick point within the club set to manipulate ball flight.

RIFLE Hybrid Demo this shaft in a Nakashima Club at the Arizona Golf Company

The Rifle Hybrid features soft tip properties of a fairway wood shaft which helps get the ball airborne, while at the same time having the length and torsion control of a long iron which helps keep the club on plane and gives a
player better control.

RIFLE Spinner® Demo this shaft in a Nakashima Club at the Arizona Golf Company

Originally made for PGA Tour players who like a softer feel in their scoring irons, the Rifle Spinner is a scoring wedge shaft designed for sand, lob and gap wedges.

RIFLE® & Precision® Putter

The Rifle putter shaft features the same patented ‘rifling’ design as the wood and iron shafts. Precision putter shafts offer consistent performance on the green.

Precision® N-Gen Hybrid Set

Precision N-GenN-GEN shafts for the long- to mid- irons are composed of high-modulus graphite and are designed to enhance distance, generate less spin on the ball and produce a more optimum shot trajectory.

The N-GEN mid- to short-iron shafts are lightweight steel and feature Precision's unique MicroTaper Step design that eliminates weak points and increases energy transfer to the ball.

Precision™ MicroLite 80

Minimum weight. Maximum performance.

Precision™ MicroLit 80With cut weights as low as 78 grams (PW, A-flex), the all-new Precision MicroLite 80 steel shafts are Royal Precision's lightest steel shafts ever designed with Tour-proven Micro-Taper Step Technology. High-performance and extremely lightweight, MicroLite 80 shafts possess enhanced playability and eliminate the weak points found in steel shafts with traditional step patterns.

The innovative Micro-Taper Step design creates 'micro-steps' that are far more durable and much more efficient at transferring energy, thus providing golfers with increased clubhead speed and greater distance.

RIFLE AirLite™

The lightest Rifle ever!

RIFLE AirLite™High performance and lightweight, Rifle AirLite possesses enhanced playability without the enlarged step designs of standard weight shafts that can adversely affect feel and control.

Frequency Matching, developed by engineers Dr. Joe Braly and Kim Braly in the late 70's, is a highly technical method of precisely measuring and defining the flex of the golf shaft through electronic calibration. Refined to perfection over the past 20 years, this patented process remains the only accurate method of producing a perfectly matched set of golf clubs today.

Through their work with PGA Tour players, the Bralys discovered that shaft flex was extremely inconsistent within a flex designation (R, S, X). Five "stiff" shafts would often vary as much as ten frequency cycles within a category, causing the player to vary his or her swing to compensate.

The Arizona Golf Company believes in Frequency Matching because flex is not only important, it is personal. Our frequency analyzer allows us to measure the natural frequency of your favorite club. Taking into account head weight, length and balance every club in your bag can be fit with Precision Frequency Matched shafts that flex identically through the set. Once you are properly fitted, all your clubs will flex the same, and therefore feel the same, helping develop a consistent and dependable golf swing.

A perfectly matched set of clubs is just as important to a beginning player as it is essential to the champions on Tour.

New players can concentrate on a golf swing, rather than compensating for equipment vagaries. The benefits of Frequency Matching are validated. Precision shafts have won every major U.S. Championship at least once, every major on the Senior and LPGA Tours, multiple Vardon Trophies, Seven Straight Orders of Merit and Player of the Year titles on every tour!

Rifle Flighted Irons

A revolutionary concept developed through exclusive Flex Distribution Technology" and perfected on Tour. Provides an exaggerated change in kick point within the club set to manipulate ball flight. Long irons have a lower kick point for higher ball flight, easier launch and greater distance. Short irons have a higher kick point for a lower trajectory, greater accuracy and control. Available in irons only. Now in 4.5, too.

How is the Rifle Flighted different from the Rifle?

The Rifle Flighted was introduced in 1998 after tremendous success on the European Tour with many notable professionals – including a recent seven-time winner of the European Order of Merit (Leading Money Winner). It has ALL of the same qualities of the Rifle shaft with the added benefit of an increased change in kick points throughout a set of shafts. This means that the Rifle Flighted has long irons with lower kicks than the Rifle shaft long irons. This translates into a higher launch angle for higher ball flight. The Rifle Flighted short irons have higher kick points than the Rifle shaft and this tends to reduce launch angle for a slightly lower ball flight.

"My shot making has improved dramatically since switching to Rifle shafts. It's a great feeling to know that the weight, balance and feel are all going to be similar when going from one club to another. As a club maker this just gives me added confidence that this shaft will deliver time and again for my customers. The rifle line gives me the best quality and most flexibility when building a set of clubs to have that perfect matched set." - Everardo
